Is Ryan Harrison our new Rypien?

Well one of the things with this years playoff run was that the Canucks were getting pushed around a lot, especially by Boston. We didn't have a fighter. We have Lappierre a taunter, had Torres a hitter, and Glass who really didn't do anything. Bieksa fought, but you don't want one of you best defense men always getting into fights. So where's our fighter well according to The Hockey News the Canucks have invited Ryan Harrison to camp, never heard of him yeah me neither before he got invited but what got me interested was that he  does have a lot of resemblances to Rick Rypien just look at his stats

                                        Regular Season
Season  Team                    Lge     GP      G       A       Pts     PIM     +/-
2008-09 Prince Albert Raiders   WHL     62      14      21      35      112     -18
2009-10 Prince Albert Raiders   WHL     72      14      40      54      136     -5
2010-11 Medicine Hat Tigers     WHL     40      13      20      33      47      10
2010-11 Everett Silvertips      WHL     29      8       11      19      55      -2

and then you look at Rypien's stats as a junior

                                        Regular Season

2002-03 Regina Pats WHL 50 6 12 18 159 -5

I'm not saying this guy is going to become exactly like Rypien like the way that Rypien could fight guys
double his size like Hal Gill but I am saying if he does good in camp the Canucks
should at least give him a chance.

5 best Goals from the 5 least likely players

Okay since this is my inaugural post on this blog let's start things up with a list of the 5 best goals of the season by the 5 least expected people(these goals are basically the best goals of the season from our not so star players of the season). Okay there might be some people saying this is a horrible list but my response to you is "Shut Up and Watch"

#5 Canucks Vs Lightning - Keith Ballard  Goal

When Keith Ballard came to Vancouver people here had big hopes for him and they thought he was going to play great. But the exact opposite happened as he posted some of his worst career numbers ever. Anyways enough of how Ballard's been a disappointment this season on to the goal. The thing i like about this goal is that Ballard goes from one side of the rink to the other and just lets it rip from that far away from the net. But then again it was Dan Ellis ( http://bit.ly/olU0td ) in net, this guy could be Cloutier's  twin

#4 Canucks Vs Wings - Manny Malhotra

The thing I like about this goal is that i well there's so many things I like about this goal. Firstly it's a shorthanded goal by Malhotra (who's kind one of my favorite players). Second thing that's great about this goal is that he takes the puck away from Datsyuk on their powerplay, and when you take away the puck from the guy who's won 3 Selkes in a row and lead the league in takeaways the year before it isn't a easy thing to do.

#3 Sergei Shirokov's First NHL Goal

I was expecting good things from Shirokov, but not right away in the first game was I expecting this. I really wish Gillis had been able to resign Shirokov because what he does here is just awesome, yes I said it just awesome. He goes right in front of the net at the right time, does a little deke to the right goalie goes for it then he simply scores a magnificent goal, what can't you like about this goal.

#2 Canucks Vs Canes - Andrew Alberts

In his first game against his former team Alberts scores a beauty of a goal, and I know what you must be thinking is this the same guy who had chased after a whistle one game well it is but I think this goal should erase that memory for people as this is just a great goal by Andrew F*cking Alberts.

#1 Raffi Torres - AMAZING DIVING GOAL

This goal was around the same time that Torre's was on that hot streak and people were saying that the third line was outplaying the first and second line and it was mostly thanks to Torres. This really shows how much Torres tries to win , as he just dives across and barely gets the puck and scores. This goal is number one for sure.
